Hearing New Zealand Ashburton

The ASHBURTON HEARING ASSOCIATON (Inc) is a Registered Charitable Society lead by eleven very energetic Committee members who meet at least bi-monthly to maintain the business of the Group, arrange volunteers to operate a five day service 10 am until 4 pm selling hearing aid batteries and ancillary product, operate an aid vacuum cleaning machine, afford an excellent support service to all 160 active members and the general public.

The Association operates from its own rooms in the Ashburton Seniors Centre where it has free use of the entire Centre 12 days per year (usually the last Friday each month) when it holds lunch meetings for up to 80 members and friends, a very well attended Annual General Meeting and a Christmas ‘Dinner’ catering for up to 100 members.

The service and support the Association provides “keeps alive” the interest of our members, who, although at the upper end of the age groups, allows them to participate and thus we can maintain a stable and active membership.
