Hamilton Hearing Association

A voluntary organisation promoting and advancing the interests and well-being of all people affected by  hearing loss. Rehabilitation of persons who are hearing impaired to ensure their well being and independence.Education within the Community on the importance of protecting your ears and your hearing.

Hearing Loss is the largest disability sector – 18.9% of the adult population and this percentage is increasing every year due to the advent of excessive noise exposure in the modern society. Our youth are suffering from early hearing problems at an alarming rate worldwide.

The Hearing Association has been visiting primary schools and giving a short talk on the importance of protecting your hearing and the dangers of noise. We visit rest homes on a monthly basis and assist the hearing impaired who cannot get to our rooms for assistance and help with their hearing and hearing aids.
