Dangerous Decibels ®
Workshops for the iPod Generation
- A presentation designed for Classroom Years 1 to 12.
- It is easily adapted for any age group & community situation.

Hearing Association Staff attended an educator training workshop in February 2011 at Auckland University run by Oregon Health and Science University. Sponsoring the workshop were ACC, Pindrop and 3M. The programme has been developed by the Dangerous Decibels ® education and research projects by a team of experts in educational outreach, hearing science and health communication. The classroom programme and training workshop has been evaluated systematically using control groups and outcome measures. It prepares individuals to walk into a classroom to confidently deliver an effective dangerous decibels presentation.
The programme is effective at changing knowledge, attitudes and intended behaviors in students regarding their hearing health.
